Head Government Relations and Israeli Partnerships at OurCrowd
Ori Sobovitz is the Head of Government Relations and Israeli Partnerships Department at OurCrowd.
The Government Relations and Israeli Partnerships Department at OurCrowd leads all initiatives with the different Government Agencies, Public Entities as well as Financial and Academic Institutions in Israel. This includes working closely with Israel Innovation Authority, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance. In Addition, it promotes the interest of OurCrowd and its portfolio companies’, establishing OurCrowd’s Innovation Labs-Incubator, connecting the eco-system and supporting the “Start-up Nation” idea.
Earlier to his position as the Head of Government Relations and Israeli Partnerships, Ori served as a Board Member and as Chief of Staff to the Chief Scientist at the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA), earlier known as the Office of the Chief Scientist. IIA is Israel’s central agency to manage the government budget to support R&D, innovation, and technology infrastructure. Ori also served as a Member of the Exemptions and Mergers Advisory Committee at the Israel Antitrust Authority. Prior to working at the Office of the Chief Scientist, Ori worked as a consultant to the Governor and the Monetary Committee at the Bank of Israel. Ori also taught Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at Ariel University and the Jerusalem College of Technology.
